Understanding your Bill

Understanding Your Medical Center Bill
You can be assured that at CVMC we will do everything possible to help you understand your medical center bill and the coverage you entitled to. Staff in Patient Accounts is ready to help.  To find out more about how CVMC establishes its rates click here.

Your Medical Center Bill:
Your medical center bill is based on the costs associated with the amount of time you spend in CVMC, the type of room you stay in, and the hospital services and medications ordered for you by your physician.

Every patient is entitled to receive a summary and itemization of total charges or bill after being discharged. The bill is available upon request at no charge.

To control costs, we do not send patient statements until all insurance processing has been resolved. Patient statements will show charges, payments, (insurance and personal) and adjustments.

Note: Physicians on staff at CVMC may or may not participate in your insurance providers plan. If you need information about a specific physician's participation, please contact your insurance company.

The following options for payment are available: cash, check, MasterCard or Visa.  If you are unable to pay, you may be eligible for the Healthcare Assurance Program.  To learn more, click here.
