Our Governance TeamIn addition to Our Management Team, which is responsible for the day-to-day management of staff and services so that the health care needs of the community can be best met, CVMC has a Governance Team.
Our Governance Team is called The CVMC Board of Trustees. This group of Trustees is made up of community members who are nominated and elected to set direction for the organization, making sure that it runs in a financially and ethically responsible way with the focus always on continuous improvement to achieve high quality compassionate health care services for our community. These highly qualified and knowledgeable individuals volunteer their time for the betterment of this organization and the public it serves. For the fiscal year 2005/2006, there are 25 such Trustees.
Corporate Members
In addition to Trustees, CVMC's Governance Team includes 61 Class A “Members of the Corporation. ” These Corporate Members, along with trustees and paid staff comprise the Governance Committees of the organization. They, too , are nominated and elected to serve. Standing Committees include: Executive Committee, Quality Council, Risk Management Committee, Ethics Committee, Medical Staff Executive Committee and Medical Staff Credentialing Committee, Governance and Human Resources Committee, Community Relations and Development Committee and Finance, Audit and Compliance Committee.
